This prehistoric Plesiosaurus dinosaur plush toy will go swimmingly into any child's bedroom!

Discover fun dinosaur facts on its educational hangtag.

The Plesiosaurus was a marine reptile that is now extinct. They were around 15ft long, which is twice the size of a horse. They had incredibly strong jaws and very sharp teeth. They ate fish, squids and other sea creatures, as well as land animals who went into the water for a swim. The Plesiosaurus had four fins, two on either side of their body. They used these by flapping them up and down, much like seals do today. Although it is thought they weren’t actually very good swimmers.

Fast Fact

Plesiosaurus means ‘almost lizard’.

Habitat

Oceans.

Believe it or not...

The Plesiosaurus weighed 450kg, which is about twice as much as a pig.

      It’s all in the detail

Look closely at our animals and you won’t be able to believe how close they are to the real thing. Our artists add shading and texture by air-brushing each animal by hand, for a realistic finish down to the very last detail.

      The eyes have it

Soft and gentle or cool and piercing, every animal’s eyes are different. That’s why we don’t use the same eyes for all our soft toys – we match them perfectly to the animal. Just look at the baby blues on our Frenchie puppies if you don’t believe us!

      Trimmed to perfection

Our animal artists trim our toys’ fur by hand to get the finished product as close as possible to the real thing. From short fuzzy fur on noses to just the perfect amount of fluff on a tail, we make sure every friend is looking its best for when it comes home to you.

      Too good to be true

Look closely at an animal’s fur and you’ll see more than one colour in each strand. We use two-tone fur fabric on lots of our animals to make them extra realistic, even adding prints to add depth and texture to your new friend’s coat.
